Performance Area Design

The design of the performance area starts from understanding the technical and spatial needs of each art form, and the conditions that are necessary for the audience to best experience the performance.

In the programming phase, Artec will have worked with the Client to define, the right type of performance venue as well as the key characteristics of the performance area. The decision making process depends on a number of factors, but the Program Matrix produced earlier in the phase will be the principal planning document influencing Artec's recommendations.

Whether the performance area is a concert platform, stage with flytower, thrust stage or something completely different, Artec will define the spatial requirements, usually as part of the Basic Design of the performance area, so that both the technical and artistic needs are properly accommodated.
