The Walt Disney Amphitheater is located on the
beautiful campus grounds of the Disney
Institute. Since 1986, the Disney Institute has hosted millions
of business people from virtually every industry worldwide. Their
professional development programs promote concepts of employee management
and risk taking that made Walt Disney's small company become a successful
empire. The Outdoor Amphitheater opened to the public in 1995.
The Institute uses this 1150-seat "amphitheater-on-the-green"
for concerts and performances which are part of, or entertainment
for the guests of, their on-sight training programs. The Walt Disney
Amphitheater is a multi-use space, and can accommodate a variety
of performance types, including song, dance, theater, spoken word,
and magic shows. This Amphitheater also provides the Disney Institute
with an ideal outdoor space to provide cultural events for the Orlando
community.
