I arrived in Singapore I went to the esplanade (and was)
in the auditorium during the rehearsal of Kurt Masur and
the London Philharmonic. The sound was amazing. The room
has a very nice frequency response. The highs sounded great
as well as the lows. And it was very powerful in spite of
the enormous air volume of the hall.
It was a pleasure to work
in a room where the acoustics can be optimized to the musical
performance and not the other way round.”
