River Room resides within the Luther F. Carson
Four Rivers Center for the Performing Arts. Opened in February 2004,
Four Rivers Center is home to the Paducah
Symphony Orchestra, while providing an adjustable performance
space for music of all kinds. Grand Opening celebrations showcased
that very well with exciting performances by the Symphony, Vince
Gill, and B.B.
King.
The 225-seat River Room is a multi-function space
that accommodates small-scale music recitals, informal theater events,
banquets, social dancing, and corporate and civic meetings. Large
windows provide a panoramic view of the Ohio and Tennessee rivers;
built-in shades allow for a quick conversion for multi-media presentations.
This flexible space features a fully suspended stage floor and a
walk able, wire, rope-grid overhead for complete technical access
to ceiling lighting options.
The River Room is equipped with a complete and
distributed sound and communication systems infrastructure, including
an interface connection to the sound control room in the Main
Hall. For amplified events, portable sound and communication
systems equipment is used.
