Singapore's newest large-scale cultural facility approved for development by Jurong Town Corporation

Artec Consultants Inc is very proud to announce the kick-off of our newest project located at Vista Xchange, in the one-north development in Singapore. The 660 million SGD Civic, Cultural, Retail and Entertainment Hub will be a dynamic new addition to Singapore's rapidly growing cultural scene, providing unique performance, art, cultural, meeting, convention and exhibition facilities in an iconic architectural environment.

Mr. Matthew Kang, Director of Rock Productions Pte Ltd, said, "The Civic and Cultural Zone of the Integrated Hub at Vista Xchange will be a world-class venue for staging large-scale performances, shows and events. The proposed 5,000-seat high-tech theatre, backed by the expertise of Artec Consultants Inc and IMG Artists, is expected to fulfill the needs of and attract target performing art and cultural groups. We believe the Integrated Hub will soon become the distinctive social gathering destination which will significantly add to the vibrancy of the one-north precinct and Singapore's rapidly evolving retail and cultural landscape."

Artec is teamed with architect, Andrew Bromberg of AEDAS Hong Kong, in developing the Cultural and Civic zones of the facility. The development partner of the retail components of the facility, and project manager of the development is CapitaLand Singapore.

Artec has been part of the team developing the project since 2005 and provided a Basic Design for the large 5000-seat pop music venue, as part of our initial programming and conceptual design services for the project. This basic design has formed the basis for the conceptual design of the principal auditorium. As part of ongoing services, Artec is providing comprehensive design and planning services including auditorium design, comprehensive acoustics consulting, facility planning, and design and accommodation of specialized performance equipment systems.
