El Pomar Great Hall is the main auditorium of the Pikes Peak Center and is the home off Colorado Springs Symphony. Pikes Peak opened its doors in October 1982.

El Pomar Great Hall is a 2100-seat multi-purpose auditorium that has earned high praise for its acoustics from visiting soloists and musicians, since its inception. The room is equipped with a number of adjustable technical features that give the hall flexible and variable acoustics, making it well-suited to a wide range of events, including symphonic music, musical theater, opera, dance, drama, rock music, and headline entertainers. A movable ceiling canopy can be raised or lowered to change the quality of reflected sound. Acoustic banners descend from slots along the sidewalls and ceiling, to change the reverberance of the room. A unique system of movable stage "towers" can be placed behind the performers in order to affect the room's acoustics for different performance needs. Box seating along the sidewalls and an absence of center aisles create an intimate audience environment.

Artec provided Design and Planning services covering Pre-Design Phase services, Auditorium Design, Facility Planning, Specialized Performance Equipment Systems Design and Background Noise and Vibration Control consulting. The architect was James Wallace of Colorado Springs. Artec is currently providing design and planning cervices to the Pikes Peak Center for a renovation/upgrade.
