Ed's Projects
Experience
Ed Arenius is one of Artec's Principal Auditorium Designers and
serves as internal coordinator of specialized information. He is
skilled in performance equipment design, sightlines, seating, and
performance facility planning. This technical knowledge of Auditorium
Design and planning compliments his coordination role bringing together
the wide-ranging experience and knowledge of the Artec team to create
cohesive architectural concepts. He has overall Design responsibility
for projects ranging from concert halls to pop entertainment venues
in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
Ed joined Artec in 1990 as a drafter assisting
the Artec team in the design of performance venues and associated
technical systems. Ed left Artec in 1994 only to be persuaded by
Artec's late founder, Russell Johnson, to return to Artec in 1995
as the Director of Design and Production.
Since 1995, Ed has been able to apply his architectural
training and 22 years of industry experience to his work coordinating
the Artec team. This close collaborative work has enabled Artec's
facilities to maintain and expand on the signature qualities that
have set Artec's projects apart as world class performance venues.
Ed's innovative and collaborative design approach has allowed him
to thrive as a Principal Auditorium Designer and Partner of the
firm.
Ed received his Bachelor
of Architecture Degree from Spring Garden College in Philadelphia
and worked as Project Architect at Sullivan Associates in Philadelphia
before joining Artec. His award winning concept drawing for the
Philadelphia City Hall Centennial architectural competition is now
part of the permanent collection of The Atwater-Kent Museum in Philadelphia.
